Pyatigorsk is the capital of the North Caucasus (this region is located in the south of Russia) and is located in a beautiful location surrounded by 7 mountains.

At the top there is an impressive panorama of the Main Caucasian Ridge and a view of the highest mountain in Europe, Elbrus. The rocky plateau is surrounded by spacious mountain valleys and meadows.
Return to the hotel in Pyatigorsk.

- The Shoan Temple is located on a cliff overlooking the left bank of the Kuban River. It was built by Byzantine craftsmen at the end of the 10th century, when the rulers of the Alan state converted to Christianity. This temple is one of the oldest Orthodox churches in Russia. It is located on the edge of Mount Shoan.
- The Ullu-Muruju River is a picturesque river in Karachay-Cherkessia, located 10 km from Dombay. The river originates high in the glaciers and mountain lakes of the Gitche-Muruju range and flows through the territory of the Teberdinsky National Park. The water in the river is considered curative, as its chemical composition contains a large amount of silver.
- Foggy Lake is a small mountain lake in Karachay-Cherkessia. It is located in the valley of the Gonachkhir River. It is located at an altitude of 1860 meters above sea level.
- Kosyginskaya glade is one of the most picturesque places in the Gonachkhir gorge. The clearing is surrounded by tall pines and fir trees, which look beautiful against the backdrop of snow-capped mountains.

The Markin Lakes are a natural complex in the upper reaches of the Mukhu River, consisting of five lakes of karst origin of various sizes. They are located at an altitude of 2700 m. On the way to Arkhyz, we will visit the Alan Temple complex. This is an archaeological monument of the 10-12 centuries, the remains of a large Alan settlement located near the village of Nizhny Arkhyz in Karachay-Cherkessia. According to some researchers, this ancient city could be the capital of the Alan state — Magas, described by the Arab historian Al-Masudi. The settlement ceased to exist at the end of the 12th century.

You will go to the Dukka lakes accompanied by a guide driving an ATV. The journey will take 4 hours. We will ride ATVs to the observation deck from there you can see these lakes. If you want, you can walk to the lakes themselves from the observation deck 3 km away. The lakes are located at an altitude of 2420 m.
Then we will return by ATV to Arkhyz resort and climb by cable car to the top of the Abishira-Akhuba ridge to an altitude of 3030 m. From the height, we will have a view of the beauty of the Arkhyz nature.

You will drive off-road vehicles to the Marukh Gorge. It is a picturesque place with a large number of powerful mountain ranges, waterfalls, mountain rivers, dense forests and glaciers. At the base of the gorge there is a glacier named Marukh.
The Marukh Valley turned out to be isolated and rarely visited. But it deserves to be on the list of tourist places visited in Arkhyz due to the indescribable landscapes, the purest mountain air and the Marukha River.
There are almost no signs of civilization here, this is a place with wild nature, but do not worry, everything is safe here).
